Photograms and Cyanotypes (Sept17) Photography

My Photograms
Industrial and rural objects exposed to light for 3 seconds

industrial objects exposed to light for 5 seconds with a transparent plastic bag

Rural objects exposed for 2 seconds then moved slightly and flashes light for 3 quick times- I like how it creates a digital effect.
How to make photograms:
-Place objects on light sensitive photo paper and expose light for a set time using the timer
-Place photopaper in chemicals: developer 1.5 mins, stop 30 seconds, fixer for 5 mins and running water for 5 mins.
-Dry in dryer for 5 minutes.

Photogram artists
Man Ray

Man Ray creates his photograms by placing objects such as thumb tacks and coil of wire and other objects. He creates an abstract whilst still being representational 'rayographs' I think his work is similar to the photograms that I had created.

Adam Fuss
Adam Fuss explored the theme of life, death and transcendence. I like how he uses material that are transparent that allow the light to go through them creating this delicate photogram. I would have liked to experimented more with different fabrics like lace and see what effects they gave.

My Cyanotype:

Rural objects cyanotype

-Made of two solutions: 25grams Ferric ammonium citrate (green) and 100ml of water, also 10 grams potassium ferryicyanide and 100ml of water
